Our challenge was to create an umbrella brand that unifies all the different companies that sit under it. To build market awareness and become the industry leaders in nano and micro-technology. The identity needed to be strong enough to stand on its own in a saturated market whilst still allowing the sub-companies to retain their own identity.
A twofold name reflecting a legacy for ambition and balance anchored by science. As a semiconductor specialist, it was essential that the science referenced innovation and the materials used. Silicon is a member of group 14 in the periodic table, a key property used to build semiconductor chips. Thus the name LAB 14 was born.
